However, the final boss is complete bs on keyboard.. Beautiful art.Boring fights.I think the music is good, but it's hard to tell. The fights are over in <10 seconds. Either you win or you die in that time.I got to the final fight (Soul of the Titan Soul), played it 10 times, got bored and just watched it on youtube before uninstalling. With such simple mechanics (dodge\/shoot), some of the fights rely on pure luck. The legendary knight fight was at first exciting, until I realized how to kill him. His arrow randomly lands around the room, often off screen and often far from the knight. So you must shoot this arrow, then him, in a tiny window span you cannot control for.I like boss rushes. Furi is one of my favorite games, a that game allows skill expression. Titan Soul not so much.. Titan Souls is a totally distinct game, whether for its aesthetics, its mechanics or its purpose, but none of it makes it a bad game, quite the opposite. Here we have almost nothing of dialogue or clear lore, but the grandiosity of the scenarios (which I really liked) makes it clear that there is a lot of story in that world, we just do not know it. The character is armed only with an arrow (you need to rescue it to shoot again) and the only goal is to kill the Titans. Each titan is totally different from the others which gives a very different dynamic between each of them. Titan Souls is the perfect game for those who like difficult games, for those who like simple mechanics and for those who love boss fight!. overall its a great game but i would like to warn that it is tedius in the fact that every time you lose to a boss you have to walk back to it, if a retry button was added just to skip that walk time i would totally change this to a recomended. Picked this game up because it looked really interesting and it was on sale. I'd really like to be able to modify my controls (I don't want to have to start running by dodge rolling first). The upside of the one hit kill on everything is it can make the boss fights seem interesting, on the other hand, having to watch a boss tea bag me for a few seconds every time i die and then having to make my way back to the boss fight and rinse and repeat until i manage to figure out how to kill them doesn't feel satisfying. I also find it rather annoying that there isn't always a good way of knowing if you are doing the right thing with some bosses, since it's one hit kills, you have to hope you are doing the right thing and not looking at it the entirely wrong way. In the games defense, some of the bosses are really obvious, others I'm sitting here going "okay, but how do i do that?" and still others where I'm sitting here and I think i'm on the right track but I have no way of knowing until i manage to kill the boss. At the end of the day I want to look up a guide to make sure I'm doing it right but I feel like that just kills the fun for this kind of game. on the upside, the boss fight music is good for what little i get to hear it.. Boss Fights are unique, and figuring out what you have to do is always difficult and challenge which is rewarding! However, dying after a boss sends you back into a somewhat distant spawn point (depending on the area). In return making your trip back to the boss room tedious. It can be frustrating because everything in the game kills you in 1 shot (which you means you die often).Gameplay mechanics are very simple and optimal. There is no items or loot of any kind, and no progression whatsoever.. I expected more than 2 hours of playtime for a 15\u20ac game, and the only reason it lasted 2 hours is that there's a 10 sec respawn time for a fight you die to in 5 sec.But hey it was pretty.. YOU NEED A CONTROLLER TO PLAY THIS GAME!Also: A lot of people are literally complaining that the game is hard. Like wtf? You pick a bossrush game and then complain it's hard? Maybe these games are not for you then...Titan Souls is a solid challenge game to play as a competition with friends and such. It has a built in timer, so speedruns could be fun, and it has some interesting mechanics mainly revolving around using only one arrow to kill the bosses. You die in one hit and the bosses die in one hit. The biggest complaint I see from people here is that "its annoying walking back to the boss". As someone who's beat the soulsborne series, quite frankly I think they are just whining about a real non-issue. The longest walk to a boss that I can recall was at most 12-15 seconds, and it's not like you have to dodge enemies or anything to get to them.Another complaint often being seen here is that some of the bosses are not very obvious to kill. I mean, if it only takes on hit to kill them, then of course it's not going to be straight forward. If it were, where is the challenge? I think half the fun of the game is genuinly trying to figure out how to kill the bosses, and not simply looking it up on a guide. IMO, yes, some of the bosses can be hard, mainly trying to figure out what to do usually is the hardest part, but others require pretty precision timing and mechanics to kill them. Patience is key.Honestly there are no glaring negatives to me, if I had to pick a negative it'd be that the bossfights themselves end rather quickly (one way or another lol) so you never get to experience the bossfight soundtracks for to long, and some of them are really jammin. The hit boxes are quite decent, and honestly I'd disregard most of the complaints that stem from this. Theirs only one real fight I can remember where I thought i was getting caught on invisible hit boxes (snow teeth one) but it really wasn't something that was bad. Overall a 8.5\/10 game, would recommend to anyone with a shred of patience and looking for a challenge.
